I have to say, since Joe Beaudoin has been absent from Propworx, the accuracy and quality of the listings is WAY down. They have the dress Boomer was wearing in her projection of the Boomer's Dream House as her wedding dress, they were trying to sell costumes as screen-worn that Helo never wore, three Marine BDU jackets and a galactica sweatshirt (I caught them on all four things) and the copy is written like a ten-year old is doing the listings.

This is the first eBay auction where nothing at all is interesting to me. The catalog is out and downloadable through the PDF format at the Propworx site. I wanted to buy the print version, but I just won't pay what they are asking for shipping, 26.20 for something that can go by media mail option for 4.00 is just plain highway robbery. A 35.00 dollar catalog that becomes 61.00? I'm not cheap, and I'll pay to support my geek habits, but......

The head Propworx guy has been a bit sketchy throughout.

Ah? Joe left? Something happened?
I bought the printed catalog. Waiting for it. Luckily, they changed (?) their mind and did the PDF version.
Nothing interesting for me, either. Next week will be the last E-Bay one.

Couple reasons; one is Joe has illness in his family that he has to deal with, and also Alec is apparently a horrifying creep a lot of the time. And sketchy. But the illness was the big deal.

Not going for Boomer's wedding ring?

Nope. And you: Helo's chase storyboards from "33" ?

Thought about it, but not really all that gripped by them. I LOVED the sickbay concept art last week, but just couldn't commit the money.

I can believe that about Alec just from how he has handled all this. (and the borrowed costume thing really bugged me)

I tried repeatedly to get a picture or scan of the National Geogrphic insert that was readable. Alec posted a scan after I started asking but it was rather low res and not readable. Then my emails went ignored. Not a huge deal but on top of everything else. The shipping fiasco with the first auction rather was the clincher.

I haven't ordered a catalog yet. Shipping is $26? What?

Mystique from TCF posted a bunch of pics on Skiffy after the first auction of her wearing Kat's BDU's and posing next to the viper, in the raptor, on Starbuck's bunk and so on. Thing is, when asked she said the costume was being sold at the next live auction.

I may be the only one who finds that a little hinky.

*She's Alec's girlfriend.*

Are the Kat BDU's not being sold in the second auction? I won't be able to watch it, and therefore don't care. There really isn't much in the second one that I would be interested in. What I really liked was the clipboards and whatnot, and I never got one of those close to affordable (I REALLY wanted the Raptor one.)

Catalog shipping is 26.00. I gave some grief on the auction board about that (it's ridiculously overinflated) and Alec gave me a "Blahblahblahfishcakes" reply about "quality shipping". So one of my trivia mates who is going will pick one up for me.

Pierre, you bidding this week? A plethora of Boomer.....I LOVE that New Cap FX shot, but I know that will be in the "sell your car" price range.

Well, that explains that. I'll double check the catalog but I'm pretty sure the BDU's were in it.

Oh, anyone going to FedCon in Germany? Pierre?

Propworks is doing some kind of live auction there.

BTW, Molly. Sent you a Skiffy PM last night. :plan:

Okay loving the smiles here.

Who are the guests at FedCon? I could look, but I am lame.

Replied to your PM- forgot renfaire, didn't you? :smack:

Almost all the people volunteering with the auction tried on something, or a lot of things. I know I would! (I'm the exact same size as Alessandro, if not the same shape.)

Keeping an eye on a few things  .

Did I once tell you I have Hera's outfit from "The woman King"?

Ouch! :smack:

I would imagine they did and don't really have an issue with that. I just see trying something on for a few minutes a bit different from putting on a costume and running around wearing it to take pictures. Well, more to the point...posting the pics on Skiffy just seems dumb to me. I would expect lots of playing around with props but don't brag about it. On a forum NBC Universal reads certainly.

But what do I know?

No! That was you? How cool. I know Pierre's had quite a bit of eBay luck, and I am poor. (Although I now have a JOB. And DISPOSABLE INCOME.)
