You're right, Pierre, Target Practice Boomer is a slightly different shot.

We have double proven my previous conjecture to be untrue! :)

How do you folks stay on top of all those auctions and all these toys?

True devotion, I guess.

Enjoy them in good health.

So are you taking them out and playing with them? Or just admiring?

When I get them, I am SO playing with them. My Helo and Chief need some hugs. (And Gaeta can meet Caprica Boomer and get a date.)

Quote:
Notice that Boomer is using a "cup and saucer" grip on her pistol, while Athena is using a Weaver grip. I wonder if the difference is due to Mrs. Park's shooting style evolving or her effort to differentiate the two characters.

I think someone needs to do some research on this; Grace's detail to character makes me think that Athena and Boomer do shoot differently- we'll have to look for screen caps.

Gonna revive this thread.

I hunted some of the BSG action figures down (actually quite a lot of them).

The one thing that bugged me was that there was no good Sharon figure in uniform.
The faces of the Athena & Boomer double pack are meh. Athena with open hair and half off flight suit is somewhat okay but the face of Sharon (Boomer or Athena) in the blue duty uniform is just bad.
The best Sharon face has the New Caprica Boomer figure but that one has a hideous jacket.

So I made my own:

Sharon in flight suit: NC Boomer head on Kat body plus added Raptor unit patch

Sharon in duty uniform: NC Boomer head on double pack Boomer body

Sharon in civil: Original NC Boomer but with thinned down jacket and no gun belt

Now if they had only released some Cylon pilots – an Eight and Six in Cylon flight suits

Oh, they are available. Problem is that the New Caprica Boomer’s are crazy expensive these days ($50 – $150)
The Louanne Katarine “KAT” figures are in the same range, as is the Boomer & Athena double pack.
If you are lucky enough to find them at all you need to bring yourself to break them out of their package (instant value loss), pop their heads off and then manage to press them onto the new body without destroying them.
But the result is well worth it.

Many of the BSG figures have some crazy price tags these days.
I hunted down 3 Boomer & Athena packs (at an average price of $90).
And I was also lucky enough to find 3 NC Boomers (one I got in a lot of figures for $80 and the others were about $60 each).

So those Sharons are quite pricey.

BTW, in the last picture, the one in the background between Dualla and Sharon is the original Boomer figure from the double pack.

Amazon Marketplace has them: Battlestar Galactica: Boomer & Athena Action Figure Two-Pack
And the price is usually not as crazy as on eBay.

Right now there is one new from $59.99
