Amazon Marketplace has them: Battlestar Galactica: Boomer & Athena Action Figure Two-Pack
And the price is usually not as crazy as on eBay.

Right now there is one new from $59.99

Thanks I got it (last one) :) :thx:

And on eBay is at the moment one New Caprica Boomer (or undercover Athena) but the price is quite high with $130 (but free shipping).

This one I already have. $130 for a head is a bit expensive (and overseas shipping is not free :o ). Perhaps I could make a mold with the one I have and duplicate it...

Those are great! If you have Tigh, are you fixing Gaeta so he looks better?

How that? I think Gaeta is okay. I just wished the Tigh figure had a removable eye-patch.

So how do you like them?
I personally think the Sharon with the open hair is, while not perfect, quite okay. This one is supposed to be Athena. But the one in the blue uniform that is supposed to be Boomer looks nothing like Grace. That one clearly needs a new head ;-)

Are you going to open it?

It's already open. Both heads are quite similar to me. There's something wrong with the lower jaw and the nose is too pointy.
How can I remove the head without breaking something? I've read that you could put the figure in hot water to soften the plastic :?: . What do you think?

The heads are attached with a double ball joint. There is a socket in the head and a socket in the body and both are connected with a piece of hard plastic that looks like a dog-bone: a stick with a ball on each end.

I just pulled the heads off with brute force though hot water is a good idea, especially for putting the new head back on. You may want to keep some concentrated dish soap handy for the reassembly.
Most of the heads are sturdy. Only the New Caprica Boomer head is a bit fragile – the bangs like to come off. So be careful with those.

Ok thanks; I'll be carefull with the bangs. I'll try to make a mold in RTV and cast a few heads in resin.

So did you manage to cast some Sharon heads?

Not yet. I have the RTV but I'm waiting for something else to cast : the resin comes in 1 liter packs and can't be kept for a very long time. I'll keep you posted when/if I can achieve it.
