So is that official? It would indicate they intend to have an underlying Cylon personality for Boomer.

Amazing, Pierre. One statement stands out to me: "... she had managed to earn the second chances that she seemed fated to be given." The Fates are fickle goddesses, it seems.

Hmmm, I wish other threads went so quickly popular... Oh well. You just need to keep checking the BSG sites, boys & girls:
like the SCIFI forums...
No Helo, of course: he wasn't meant to survive, originally.

This seems to be implying that Boomer was responsible for the disaster on Troy...and fully aware of her mission and her cylon nature... until she took a "nap" on the transport leaving Troy. Interesting.

Did you download the whole thing? I don't think this is the "Cylon Bible" (if it exists), there isn't much technical stuff about Cylons. Boomer & Troy? I dunno. I always thought the Cylons used a "natural" accident to choose this home for their sleeper. But now... This seems a complicated and risky way for creating a "fake" background for an agent, no? Will we see this in The Plan ?...

Quote: Sharon was napping when the word came in of a massive accident on Troy. She awoke to the news that her entire settlement - more than 200,000 people — was wiped out in a series of titanic explosions which ripped away the protective domes keeping out the poisonous atmosphere of Troy Quote: She slipped onto to the commercial transport just before it left Troy, fully aware of her mission and her nature. But when she awoke from her "nap" her cover program took hold from that point forward, she believed herself to a normal human being with a tragic past.

That may have been part of the plan once it was decided to make Boomer a Cylon but they kept making changes along the way (see Boxey) and in Downloaded Boomer knew nothing about how the Cylons infiltrated the Colonial systems (see her surprise when Caprica reveals Gaius' part). Honestly, there's no reason why Boomer was made a sleeper agent (only things we can infer) but it seems she was a brand new Eight, and if they were giving her a lie and protocols to make sure she would follow through with the plan, it's doubtful she would be in on anything.

I don't really know that you can read too much into it. And the idea that Boomer risked destroying a Colony just for a cover story so she could be the most helpful sleeper agent in history right up until she shot Adama just seems too stupid for words. Of course, I've felt that about other things. For a not so subtle dig at "The Plan," see the update to "Sometimes a Stupid Notion" in Boomer fiction.
